Jim Parsons Officially Comes Out!!
Jim Parsons, who plays arrogant nerd Sheldon on CBS' hit comedy The Big Bang Theory, has found a very modest way to announce that he is gay.
In an interview with the New York Times, Parsons discusses his recent work on Broadway, which includes playing a gay activist in The Normal Heart.

In reporting Parsons' affinity for the play, author Patrick Healy revealed something that has been long speculated. "The Normal Heart
resonated with him on a few levels: Mr. Parsons is gay and in a 10-year

"If you’re going to be a closet case then just lie and say you’re straight. It bugs me when they say “why are you asking me if I’m gay? It doesn’t matter.” Well it matters a lot to the fifteen year-old at home who’s going through it. It’s a highly offensive statement and it makes me angry.
I’d love to be a role model for gay men who feel they don’t fit in to what it means to be gay. You don’t need a perfect body and hair and love dance music and go out all night and do drugs. Britney Spears and Demi Lovato Join X Factor!!
Pop princesses, unite!
Hot on the heels of confirmation to PEOPLE that Britney Spears has signed to become a judge on the new season of The X Factor comes an announcement that joining Spears will be former Disney star Demi Lovato.
Confirmation of their new roles was made Monday at the FOX upfronts in New York City.
"I'm so excited about this whole experience," Spears, 30, said. "It's going to be so much fun and so different from anything I've ever done. I'm ready to find a true star."
"I am totally stoked to be here," Lovato, 19, added. "I'm excited to represent my generation and I'm ready to find the winner."
The duo will be sitting at the judge's table with the show's executive producer (and famously caustic) Simon Cowell and the other holdover from last season, record producer L.A. Reid.
Spears, who Tweeted from the event, and Lovato will be assuming the chairs vacated by Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.

"Once Upon a Time" Officially Renewed for Season 2!!
We can file this under "not surprising," since OUaT has
been a runaway hit since debuting on ABC back in the fall. And after
the finale on Sunday, trust us when we say that here will definitely be a
lot to talk about over the summer!
Creator Adam Horowitz broke the news excitedly on his Twitter page today. "It's official -- #OnceUponATime has been picked up for season 2. Thank you all so much for watching, we're beyond thrilled to continue on!"
ABC has been mum on renewals up until now, and there are still many shows awaiting their officially fate, i.e. Revenge, Happy Endings, Pan Am and more. The rest of the pickup announcements will surely come as networks prepare for Upfront presentations next week.
Once Upon a Time wraps up its freshman run this Sunday on ABC. (source)
