Ricky Martin and Carlos González Abella, his partner of four years, are raising Matteo and Valentino together. But it was a woman Martin describes as "so angelic, so transparent" who made it possible for them to have children.

"I would give my life to the woman who helped me bring my children into the world," Martin says, adding that he rejects the term "surrogate."

"I [did] not rent a womb," he explains. "This expression is used by fundamentalist conservatives."

So will Martin and Abella be saying "I do" in the near future? He tells the mag: "If they touch [the same-sex marriage law], now as a Spanish citizen, I would stand up and unite with my community." (read more)
