Russell Brand Files for Divorce from Katy Perry!!
A year after their fairy-tale wedding in India, it seems Katy Perry and Russell Brand won't be living happily ever after.
Brand, 36, filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Friday, citing irreconcilable differences.
"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage," he said in a statement to PEOPLE. "I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."
The Superior Court filing, which lists Perry by her given name of Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, does not list a date of separation.
The pair have been spotted without their wedding rings in recent days amid reports they spent the holidays apart, with Perry in Hawaii and Brand in the U.K. (read more)

"Electric Circus" Returning To MuchMusic For New Year's Eve!!
Are you ready to party like it's 1988? MuchMusic's beloved dance show "Electric Circus" is back!
In the fall of 1988, Roseanne and Murphy Brown made their television debuts, network execs thought it would be a good idea to turn 'Dirty Dancing' and 'Baby Boom' into TV shows (it wasn't), and there were still 12 soap operas on the air. Oh, and a little dance show called "Electric Circus" premiered. Who could forget the dancers, the lights, the awesome music?
Well, hang on, here we go! The iconic dance show is returning for a one-night-only, New Year's Eve special.
"Electric Circus: NYE Dance Party" airs live from MuchMusic headquarters in downtown Toronto, and if it's just like the good ol' days, expect people to be filling the studio, nearby rooftops and the streets around it, dancing like it's 1999 (or '88).
The "EC" special kicks off at 10PM ET and will be hosted by Tyrone "T-RexXx" Edwards and Liz Trinnear of "New.Music.Live." If the festivities at Toronto’s City Hall don't tickle your fancy, perhaps dancing and sweating up a storm on Queen Street West may be just the ticket on how you should ring in the new year. There's also a dance crew competition, and Much is tempting "EC" lovers by giving away two $5,000 cash prizes. (source)

Britney Spears Is Engaged!!
Britney Spears and Jason Trawick certainly had a lot to celebrate this month. Not only did the pop star and her beau celebrate their 30th and 40th birthdays, respectively, a source confirms to PEOPLE they're now engaged!
In fact, the pop star's longtime love proposed on his birthday Thursday night in Los Angeles. "He surprised her after she gave him his gifts and after they had cake last night," a source says of his proposal with a Neil Lane sparkler.
Sources recently told PEOPLE that Trawick was ready to pop to the question – and that the two had "been talking about marriage for a long time."
And, early Friday, Spears started dropping hints about her big news on Twitter.

It's Official: Chris Meloni Joins Cast of "True Blood"!!
Former Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Chris Meloni has joined the cast of the HBO series True Blood.
He will begin appearing on the show in its upcoming fifth season as a regular.
Meloni, 50, will play an ancient, powerful vampire according to the show’s producers.
This marks his first job since he left SVU earlier this year at the end of the show’s 12th season. He played Det. Elliot Stabler on the show since its debut in 1999.
"It is true," a rep for the actor said. "12 very happy years with the show. On to the next chapter."
Meloni previously appeared on the HBO series Oz from 1998-2003.
He is currently filming the upcoming Superman reboot The Man of Steel,
in which he’ll play Colonel Hardy. The film will star Henry Cavill as
Superman/Clark Kent and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. Kent’s parents will be
played by Diane Lane and Kevin Costner. (read more)
Rihanna and Katy Perry Closer to Breaking Another Billboard Hot 100 Record!!
Like what's displayed on Billboard Hot 200, the crown of this week's Billboard Hot 100 also belongs to last week's champion. In the U.S. single chart, Rihanna is untouchable by grasping the top spot with her Calvin Harris-assisted single "We Found Love" from album "Talk That Talk".
This marks Riri's seventh week spending at the No. 1 position, which only means that she matches her longest command on the chart back in 2007. Four years ago, the Barbados singer ruled the list for a longest seven week for any artist with her smash hit "Umbrella" which features Jay-Z.
The seven-week reign of "We Found Love" additionally equals Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" which has Riri as a featured guest. It's also tied with Adele's "Rolling in the Deep". Yet, the champion for the longest reign still belongs to Ke$ha who clocked a nine-week domination with "Tik Tok" in January 2010.
