ON PERSONAL STYLE: "You just try to stay clean and classy because it will always come back to bite you in the ass when you’re being photographed. I like Zegna and I wear a lot of Dolce. So [this shoot] was perfect, and it felt very old movie star, very beautiful."
ON FASHION REGRETS: "Anything from the 80s was horrible."

ON PERSONAL STYLE: "I'm all-American but sometimes a little preppy, sometimes a little vintage. I like button-ups, skinny pants, Oxfords. I like to throw vintage-y pieces in. But it’s a hard thing to define your own style, isn’t it?"
ON THE STYLE OF HER GLEE CHARACTER, EMMA PILSBURY: "I love dressing up for that character. The cardigans, the brooches, the sweater clips, the pencil skirts. The shoes are always amazing. It’s fun and colorful. I love dressing up as Emma, but I’ve nixed a lot of pieces in my own closet because I don’t want to look like her all the time. Like I had this amazing sweater that was vintage that I had had in my closet forever, and I put it on right after the show and my husband said, 'You can’t go out like that. I’m married to Emma Pilsbury if you wear that out.' I had to get rid of it. (source)
