The leading lady of the first three "Scream" films will join her returning castmates, David Arquette and Courteney Cox, when production is kicked off in April or May of 2010. This news debunked previous speculation that her character has to be scrapped off from the new installment due to her refusal to get involved.
Back in June, screenwriter Kevin Williamson sparked rumor that Campbell has said no to the fourth film after posting a message in his Twitter page. "Trying to figure out a Sid-less scenario. She won't do it. This sucks," he revealed. At the time, it was claimed that Campbell's tight schedule reportedly became the reason behind her refusal to be involved.
"Scream 4" is intended to be a younger version of the "Scream" trilogy. It will be developed as the first of a new trilogy. On his statement of going back to his franchise films, Bob Weinstein also confirmed that director Wes Craven is in talks to helm the project. Previously, Craven didn't officially approve the idea to helm the movie project, but he was reported to consider it if the script is proven to be his liking.

There were a lot of great little bits in this week’s episode of Glee. Among the highlights: football coach Ken Tenaka’s box of special game whistles; Kurt Hummel’s sparkly unitard and Sandy Ryerson’s red kimono-like robe; and Sue Sylvester signing off from her TV commentary “Sue’s Corner” with her hand cupped to make a “C.”
But you have to give it up for the “Single Ladies” football follies as the moment of the night. Beyond the visual gag of tough pigskin players grooving about in their uniforms to Beyoncé, the key was having Kurt come in to kick for the win and actually make it happen. For all the times you’ve dreaded Lucy taking the ball away from Charlie Brown, here was finally, finally, the result you’ve always wanted to see.

"She was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign," Heigl, 30, said when announcing the news of her adoption on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week.
In addition to four intimate photos of the family, the site explains that Naleigh is just a nickname for Nancy Leigh – named after Heigl's mother Nancy and Heigl's sister Margaret Leigh.

"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," his rep tells PEOPLE in a statement.
A gifted dancer, a rugged outdoorsman, a romantic leading man and a loving husband, Swayze was also, as his brother Don put it, "a warrior" in his cancer fight.
The actor continued working on his A&E series The Beast even as he underwent chemotherapy – and never lost hope. About his prognosis, he did admit in a Barbara Walters interview that aired in January, "There's a lot of fear here. Yeah, I'm scared. Yeah, I'm angry. Yeah, I'm [asking], 'Why me?' "
A month before, Swayze had issued a statement to PEOPLE in regard to speculation about his health, saying that such questions "cast a negative shadow on the positive and good fight I'm fighting." (read more)

While accepting the Moonman for video of the year, Beyoncé Knowles invited Swift onto the stage so she could finish her speech, which West had interrupted earlier, when she beat out Knowles in the night's first category.
"This is amazing," Knowles said. "I remember being 17-years-old, up for my first MTV award with Destiny’s Child and it was one of the most exciting moments of my life, so I would like for Taylor to come out and have her moment."
A smiling Swift came out and said, "Maybe we can try this again." She continued, thanking "all my fans on Twitter and MySpace and everyone who came out to my shows this summer."
The two winners, both in bright red dresses, hugged and left the stage together.
"It was so wonderful and gracious of her," Swift told reporters after the show. "She's always been a great person and I thought I couldn't love Beyoncé more and tonight happened and it was just wonderful." (read more)
