Paris Hilton Premieres Her Latest Song!!

Paris Hilton's latest single could convert skeptics into fans.

The "Stars Are Blind" singer premiered a dance-worthy new song – "My BFF," which she co-wrote with Benji Madden – Tuesday on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show in Los Angeles. (Listen to the track here.)

In the techno-inspired theme song to Hilton’s new reality show, My New BFF, which premieres Tuesday night on MTV, Hilton sings, "Could you be the one I want? (My new best friend.) Could you be the one I need? (My new best friend.)"

In June, Hilton, 27, said of her boyfriend of seven months, "Benji and I have been working hard on [the song]."

On her latest reality show, the Simple Life alum is looking to find a new shopping buddy.

Hilton also recently announced her plans to collaborate with none other than Seacrest on a new scripted series.

A year ago, no one knew their names. Now, after getting chased around New York by schoolgirls and going to every posh party in the city, the three guys of Gossip Girl are realizing just how famous they’ve become.

In an interview with Details magazine, Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley and Ed Westwick shared their craziest experiences since starring on the CW show.

“We have a lot of older fans,” Badgley said. “I get a lot of guys coming up to me who are like, ‘Oh man, my wife loves the show.’ Couple of drinks later they come up and they’re like, ‘You know what, I love Dan.’ And they probably watch the show more than their wives.”

With the fans, of course, come the paparazzi and the rumors. Badgley has learned to tune out the comments on his relationship with costar and girlfriend Blake Lively. “One of the things that’s been my bread and butter with all these television shows I’ve done is that I don’t give a sh—,” he said.

Crawford, 23, may have the worst luck with Internet rumors. “Model turned actor, dime a dozen, eye candy, doesn’t know what he’s doing … and Perez Hilton says I have ‘gayface,’” he said. “So on top of everything else, I have to overcome gayface.”

His character, Nate Archibald, just stopped being a hooker for his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend’s stepmother, and he still says Nate is too sweet. “I’m hoping for a fall from grace for Nate. Five years from now, I better have murdered someone!”

The other two also have thoughts on the direction their characters should go. Badgley thinks Dan is too judgmental and wants to explore his dark side, but Westwick thinks the opposite for bad boy Chuck. “Chuck’s just this vain kind of metrosexual Manhattan eccentric living in a flash world,” Westwick says. “He’s just mischievous. In the second season, you will see him do more of the good-guy thing.”

Whether their alter egos are good or bad, the Gossip guys are hot and enjoying their moment in the spotlight.

“One day it’s all going to go away,” Crawford said. “If this is what it is, then it’s wonderful.”

Janet Jackson Released from Montreal Hospital!!

Janet Jackson has been released from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, according to a hospital rep.

"Yesterday evening she was checked into the Royal Victoria Hospital and left a couple of hours later," Rebecca Burns, the spokeswoman for the McGill University Health Centre, which operates the hospital, told PEOPLE

Jackson, 42, cancelled her show in Montreal on Monday and was taken to the hospital after she "got suddenly ill" during her sound check, according to a statement from W&W Public Relations.

Further details of the singer's condition were not immediately available, and reps for Jackson did not return requests for additional comment.

Jackson kicked off her Rock Witchu tour promoting her latest album, Discipline, in Vancouver on Sept. 10.

Jackson has complained of exhaustion, a source close to boyfriend Jermaine Dupri tells PEOPLE. "A 42-year-old body can't handle what a 22-year-old body can," says the source. "I can tell you that she's definitely tired. It was probably exhaustion. She is doing back-to-back, three-hour shows, and her body isn't the same as it used to be."

The same night that Jackson was rushed to the hospital, Dupri was spotted in New York City partying at Patron's Music in Motion Tour featuring TI at Marquee. "If [Janet's condition] was more serious he would've rushed to her side," added the source.

Jackson is due to perform in Boston Wednesday night.

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds made it official with a quiet wedding this weekend, a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE.

This is the first marriage for both. The couple had announced their engagement in May.

Johansson, 23, began dating Reynolds, 31, last year shortly after his split from singer Alanis Morissette, who recently expressed well wishes on her ex's engagement.

R.I.P. Actor Paul Newman, Dead at 83!!

Sad news to report today as legendary actor Paul Newman finally lost his battle with lung cancer, passing away at the age of 83 in his Westport, Connecticut yesterday. With an impressive resume of films that includes Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Hustler, Exodus and Road to Perdition, Newman officially retired from acting in 2007, and his fight with the disease was made public a few months ago.

Newman's last film appearance was providing the voice of Doc Hudson in Disney/Pixar's 2006 hit Cars, which ironically had just had its sequel announced for a summer 2011 release.

Although Newman had been nominated for an Academy Award ten times in his lengthy career, he only won once for 1987's Color of Money, just a year after being bestowed with an Honorary Award. Newman's last live action film appearance was Sam Mendes' Road to Perdition for which Newman would receive his final Oscar nomination.

Newman leaves behind his wife of fifty years, actress Joanne Woodward, with whom he had three children, his Newman's Own food empire, which was also based in Westport, as well as hundreds of great movie classics that will never be forgotten.

New Details on How Travis Barker and DJ AM Survived Plane Crash!!

How did Travis Barker and DJ AM (real name: Adam Goldstein) survive the plane crash that killed four people and left them with second- and third-degree burns?

"[Travis and Adam] told me that they slid down the wing on the right side of the plane," Lieut. Josh Shumpert of the South Congaree Police Department tells PEOPLE. Shumpert was one of the second responders at the scene – Congaree is the town outside of Columbia, S.C. – after the airport police arrived.

"They said they were on fire," adds Shumpert, whose patrol car's dashboard camera caught video of the fiery aftermath, "and that they tackled each other and put each other out."

"When I got there they were on the side of the road," says Shumpert. "They were pacing and in shock."

"Travis was very shaken up," he says, noting that Barker was given Gatorade after he asked for some water.

According to the lieutenant, the pair weren't naked, contrary to eyewitness statements.

"Travis was wearing some kind of shorts and no shirt," says Shumpert, adding that Goldstein was wearing shorts or boxers as well. "Travis had one sock on. And a black hat on his head."

The fast reactions of the former Blink 182 drummer Barker, 32, and Goldstein, 35, gave them a good chance of a full recovery.

"Since both Barker and Goldstein are in overall good health and didn't suffer from any other crash-related complications, a full recovery is expected," said Dr. Fred Mullins of the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors' Hospital in Augusta at a Sunday morning press conference.

Mullins added that recovery from such burns can take as long as a year.

Nicolas Cage Confirms Third "Treasure!!"

Jerry Bruckheimer and Nicolas Cage both attended the Walt Disney Showcase in Hollywood this afternoon and revealed a third "National Treasure" is in the works.

Director Jon Turteltaub will be back behind the camera, and much of the original cast will return as well for the film.

No plot details were announced, but a late 2010 release is looking likely.

Britney's 'Womanizer' Cover and Track Details!!

Stylistically it shares a lot in common with Rachel Stevens' 'Some Girls' but in Britney terms it's a brilliantly executed mashup of 'Toxic' with the last album's more insane moments like 'Ooh Ooh Baby'. Most important thing: it doesn't fade at the end - the beat drops out while Britney trills the main "YOU'RE A WOMANIZER OH WOMANIZER OH YOU'RE A WOMANIZER BABY" hook. This track lays a really strong foundation for the fully-realised comeback that didn't quite happen last time and it's hard not to think of it as a late contender for single of the year. Brad Pitt has put his money where his best-seen-and-not-heard mouth is and donated $100,000 to the anti-Proposition 8 campaign - the California ballot measure seeking to ban same-sex marriages.

In his statement, Pitt says, "Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8." Britney's New Album 'Circus' Out This December!!

Jive/Zomba recording artist Britney Spears announces her sixth studio album, Circus, set for release December 2nd. The first single is titled "Womanizer" and will hit radio waves on September 22nd. The single was produced by the up-and-coming Atlanta production team The Outsyders. The album release date coincides with Spears' birthday.

On the heels of an MTV VMA awards sweep, where Britney walked away with three Moonmen awards for "Video of the Year," "Best Female" and "Best Pop Video" for "Piece of Me," Jive Records is preparing her latest album, Circus, a follow-up to her critically well received album, Blackout. For her latest effort, Britney has enlisted a stellar group of established producers/writers that include Dr. Luke (who wrote and produced the album's title track, "Circus"), Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Guy Sigsworth (Madonna, Alanis Morissette, Bjork).

Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, and to date, she has sold in excess of 62 million albums worldwide that include Baby One More Time (1999), Oops!...I Did It Again (2000), Britney (2001), In The Zone (2003), and Blackout (2007), eight #1 worldwide singles and four consecutive #1 albums.

Mario Lopez: No More Going Shirtless!!

My shirtless photo-shoot days are behind me," Mario Lopez tells PEOPLE in a bitter blow to beefcake.

Not that the buff new Extra host has anything to hide. "Obviously, being healthy and staying fit are important to me," says the 34-year-old, who in the past seemed like the only serious rival to Matthew McConaughey in the bare-chest sweepstakes.

As of Monday, former The Bold and the Beautiful and Dancing with the Stars favorite Lopez – who was also memorably bare-bottomed in the shower for a 2006 episode of Nip/Tuck – will be happily hosting Extra on his own, full-time.

"My TV projects are my main priority," he says. "And no, you will never see me host Extra without a shirt."

Still, to every rule there's an exception – in this case, Nip/Tuck.

Lopez says he is "thrilled" to be reprising the role of Dr. Mike Hamoui on the cable series, with Dr. Mike moving to Los Angeles – where he can once again gain the attention of the ab-admiring Dr. Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) in the locker room.

"A small spoiler," says Lopez. "Dr. Mike might not be taking anymore showers at the gym with Christian, but he will lose his shirt."

Britney Wins Big at the VMAs!!

It was Britney's night!

The pop star made a triumphant return to MTV's Video Music Awards, winning three Moonmen, including the night's big honor, video of the year, for her hit "Piece of Me."

"I'm in shock," the grateful singer said after accepting her third award of the night from NBA star Kobe Bryant.

Spears, of course, was the subject of much speculation and excitement after word spread that she would be opening the ceremony.

She looked a little nervous at first, but proved to be in fighting form in a vintage silver Versace mini-dress. After being escorted from her dressing room, Spears took center stage, clutched the microphone tight, and announced, "I'm here tonight to celebrate a very important birthday." Continued Spears: "This is the 25th Video Music Awards – and it starts right now."

With that, the pop star was gone, ceding the stage to a futuristic-looking Rihanna, who launched into her hit "Disturbia" with a goth-themed entourage touting glow sticks and leather.

Moments later, Spears was back to accept her first VMA ever.

Nominated for 16 Moonmen in the past, the pop star nabbed the first award of the night, best female video, for her song "Piece of Me." Spears gave a brief speech, thanking God for "just blessing me like this," calling out her two sons and dedicating the award to her fans. "This is for you," Spears said.

And her fans were everywhere Sunday night. Haley Williams from Paramore saw Spears backstage and was overheard remarking to a bandmate, "Man, Britney looks really pretty."

Spears later picked up her second award for best pop video, also for "Piece of Me." "I'm speechless," chirped the pop star as she offered thanks to manager Larry Rudolph, who accompanied Spears to the show, and her fans.

Britney Spears 'Excited' to Kick Off VMAs!!

Britney Spears will open the show at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, PEOPLE has learned.

"MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs?" Spears tells PEOPLE in a statement. "I'm excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated."

Spears – who has been nominated 16 times and never won a Moon Man – is up for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year for "Piece of Me."

It's still not known how she'll open the show. A source confirms that the opening segment will not feature a musical performance by Spears.

Adds MTV Networks Music President Van Toffler: "Britney has done everything from perform with a snake, lock lips with Madonna and prove that what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas," he says, referring to her lackluster performance at the awards show in Sin City last year. "I can't wait to see what she does to kick off this year's show."

The VMAs air on MTV at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday from Los Angeles.

Jennifer Aniston will play a "free-spirited, Fatal Attraction-like stalker" when she guest stars on 30 Rock, NBC announced Tuesday.

As Claire Harper, Aniston will be Tina Fey's former roommate who shows up in New York and attaches herself to Alec Baldwin.

"Jennifer is not only incredibly lovely to have around, she also has what the young people would call 'mad skills.' We're very excited that she's joining us," said Fey, who is the creator, executive producer and star of 30 Rock, which returns on Oct. 30.
