Justin Timberlake: I Wore Trucker Caps Before Ashton!!
He may not consider himself a fashion icon, but Justin Timberlake likes to take style credit where it's due. "It's funny, I keep hearing Ashton Kutcher say how he was responsible for trucker caps,” says Timberlake, 27, in the cover story for Fashion Rocks, a magazine supplement sent to Vanity Fair subscribers with the new issue.
Timberlake maintains that he and best friend Trace Ayala – with whom he launched the William Rast denim line in 2005 – "were wearing them when we were seventeen."
Still, the singer admits he doesn't try to be trendsetter. "Honestly, I don't walk out of my house thinking, Man, I hope somebody thinks this looks cool!” he says. "There's some stuff I wear that people think is not cool."
But he’s trying to change that.
The Tennessee native has designed a new collection with Swedish fashion designer Johan Lindeberg which he describes as "Southern heritage meets forward European innovation."
Says Timberlake, "I don't want to be Mr. Sexy Back forever."
Timberlake will take the stage at the the Fashion Rocks concert at Radio City Music Hall Sept. 5. Denis Leary hosts the event whose lineup also includes Beyoncé, Solange Knowles, Kid Rock, Keith Urban, Mariah Carey, Chris Cornell, OneRepublic, Pussycat Dolls, and Timbaland, with special guest Lynyrd Skynyrd; proceeds benefit Stand Up To Cancer. The event will air as a two-hour special on CBS Sept. 9.
Fergie to Play a Prostitute in the Movie Musical Nine!!
Quick, which actor on this cast list is just happy to be here: Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Dame Judi Dench and Fergie? That's right, thanks to Chicago director Rob Marshall, Fergie will play a prostitute in the movie musical Nine, alongside those Oscar night faves, according to an Associated Press interview.
"I'm speechless," says Fergie, 33, who will sing a duet, "Be Italian," with Day-Lewis.
"[My character] introduces him to the world of sexuality," said the Grammy winner. "It's a very strong song. I'm just thrilled I get to play a character."
That's not all she's psyched about: The "London Bridge" singer can't wait to watch her costars in action when filming begins in October.
"I'm definitely going to be a sponge on set," said Fergie. "I want to pick up on everything that all these brilliant actors are bringing to the table."
She added: "I'm probably going to be the quietest that I've ever been while working just because I want to watch and learn."
But Fergie is no big-screen rookie: She's also appeared in Poseidon and last year's Grindhouse.
And in other Fergalicious news, the singer is currently working a new album with the Black Eyed Peas.
"It's a new sound," she said. "We're not doing the same old thing. We're not trying to copy what's out there on the radio. We're being artistic and pushing the envelope."
Top Chef's Sam Talbot Engaged!!
Sam Talbot, the heartthrob finalist from Top Chef season two, is engaged to his Colombian girlfriend, Paola Guerro, he tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I'm so in love it's unreal. We got engaged this weekend," Talbot gushed on Wednesday.
The couple met on Talbot's 30th Birthday in Brazil last December. "She's amazing. She's stunning," Talbot says.
Guerra, also 30, a model and T-shirt designer, visits Talbot at his new Montauk restaurant, Surf Lodge, every weekend or more. He adds: "She takes care of me in many ways. I'm quite lucky."
They haven't set a date yet, but chances are Top Chef judges Padma Lakshmi and Tom Colicchio will be there to support one of their best breakout stars. "Tom and I talk all the time," Talbot says. "We're friends."

Maria Bello Is Engaged!!
Actress Maria Bello and boyfriend Bryn Mooser are engaged, her rep confirms to PEOPLE. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor star, 41, and Mooser, 28, a writer, announced their engagement in Bello's hometown newspaper, The Norristown Times Herald, in Norristown, Pa, which said the couple "fell in love over a sheer passion of politics, Africa and cryptozoology."
Bello told the New York Post's Page Six Magazine she "was always anti-marriage. I didn't understand monogamy. I couldn't figure out how that could last. And then I met Bryn and I started to understand the beauty of constancy and history and change and going on the roller coaster with someone – of having a partner in life."
Bello and Mooser have not set a date yet.

Eros Ramazzotti = Hot Italian Silver Fox!!
The Italian singer/songwriter/guitarist is going on tour and tickets to his concerts go on sale Monday July 21.He sounds pretty good, as well as looking damn sexy. And how about that name? Eros was, of course, the Greek god of erotic love!
At 44, Ramazzotti is proving that often men just keep on getting better with age.

Pete Wentz has a lotta love for his boy John Mayer. "John Mayer is one of my favorite dudes," the Fall Out Boy, 29, writes on his blog, "A Homeboy's Life."
"Not even in some fantasy way," writes Wentz. "Just in the way that he is in on the joke, while you are simply laughing at it."
This isn't the first time Wentz has given Mayer, 30, kudos. The two artists expressed their mutual admiration for one another on their respective blogs back in May.

Sexy New Gossip Girl Ads!!
They did it again! The folks at the CW have released another racy ad campaign for the new season of Gossip Girl, which begins Sept. 1. For the show’s return in April, the cable network’s steamy promos and print ads with the letters “OMFG” — as well as the scandalous behavior of the show’s underage characters — got critics talking and calling it, “Every parent’s nightmare,” “Very bad for you,” “A nasty piece of work” and “Mind-blowingly inappropriate.”
And it’s precisely those words that are being used to promote the show’s new season on ads that feature the shows stars — Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick — in super sexy poses and scandalous situations.

“I think it reeks of desperation, if they have to position themselves as so edgy and so controversial that they’ve been called out by us,” the Parents Television Council’s Melissa Henson, whose organization has criticized the show’s salacious storylines, told the Associated Press.
The CW’s marketing chief Rick Haskins claims the sensational ads are meant to be attention-grabbers.
“This sort of campaign resonates with someone who likes Gossip Girl,” he told the AP of their effort to use of “well-written headlines that are provocative and would catch our viewers’ attention … and, in a tongue-in-cheek way, capture what the show is about.”

Carey Hart on Pink: 'I Miss Everything About Her!!'
Carey Hart and Pink may have split, but that doesn't mean they're not still close. "We talk all the time and try to stay connected as much as possible," Hart told PEOPLE at the opening of his new Las Vegas club, Wasted Space, in the Hard Rock Hotel. "It's a tough situation to be in but I love her to death."
And though they are not longer a couple, Hart confesses he still misses his ex. "I miss everything about her," he says. And in the wake of their split, "I became a workaholic," says the motocross star. "I work 19 hours a day."
Carey, who married Pink in 2006 and split in February, isn't ready to move on.
Says Hart: "I'm not in any rush to get back into a relationship."
Britney Spears Steps Out For a Cause!!
With her divorce settlement behind her, Britney Spears took time out on Saturday night to do something for the kids, adding star wattage to Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey's fundraiser for Generation Rescue, an organization dedicated to researching autism. "She looked great and seemed really happy," says a partygoer of the Snow Queen Vodka-sponsored shindig at the couple's home in Brentwood.
Though she kept close to her assistant Brett and didn't speak to other guests, "She smiled and clapped during the video about autism. She was very into the information and watched a little bit of the dancers from Dancing with the Stars, sneaking out during one of the performances."
Also at the bash were newlyweds Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller ("The honeymoon isn't over!" remarked one guest), a "lovey-dovey" Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan, who kissed and danced all night, and of course the host couple.
"Jenny and Jim were adorable," says the guest, "She kept saying, 'I love you honey' to him when she thanked him from the stage." Carrey, not to be outdone by the DWTS folks, soon took to the dance floor, even challenging another guest to a playful dance-off.

Katie Holmes to Guest-Star on Eli Stone!!
Katie Holmes is heading back to TV — for a guest role on ABC’s Eli Stone. Holmes is slated to appear in an episode of the legal comedy-drama on Oct. 21. She’ll play a non-profit attorney whose mysterious case leads her to Eli (Jonny Lee Miller).
Eli Stone executive producer Greg Berlanti and Holmes previously collaborated on long-running teen favorite Dawson’s Creek, in which Holmes played Joey Potter.
“We wanted to do anything we could to get people talking about the show. I went and begged her,” Berlanti said of Holmes. “She said ‘I’d love to.’”
Holmes began filming Tuesday. “She’s singing and dancing,” Berlanti says of the musical show. “But we want to keep an element of mystery for the audience.”
Tom Cruise and daughter Suri were spotted on the show’s set earlier this week, which may have sparked rumors that Cruise would be appearing on the show. Not true, says a source.
The casting of Holmes was first reported by Entertainment Weekly.
This fall, Holmes will also make her Broadway debut. She’ll appear six nights a week in a revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, alongside John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, and Patrick Wilson in New York City.Katherine Heigl ‘Absolutely Staying’ on Grey’s Anatomy!!
Despite the rumors, Katherine Heigl will be scrubbing in next season on Grey’s Anatomy. “She’s absolutely staying with the show,” ABC entertainment president Stephen McPherson said Wednesday at the Television Critics Association’s annual fall preview, putting to rest growing rumors of a fallout between the actress and the show.
In June, Heigl stunned millions of Grey’s fans, publicly snubbing the show’s writers by withdrawing her name from Emmy consideration, saying, “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.”
More recently, Internet buzz began to build that GA creator Shonda Rhimes was going to kill off her character Izzie with a life-threatening brain tumor.
But McPherson says contrary to the rumors, Heigl is returning–and getting a juicy storyline: “There’s an unbelievable storyline for her which is really central to everything that’s going to go on this season. We’re really excited about that.”
