Brothers & Sisters Star Comes Out!!
Luke MacFarlane doesn't just play gay on TV, he is gay in real life. The 28-year-old Canadian actor, who plays Scotty Wandell on Brothers & Sisters, came out to Toronto's The Globe and Mail newspaper in an article published today. Despite the increasingly accepting atmosphere in Hollywood, MacFarlane confesses he was "terrified" to make the revelation. "I don't know what will happen professionally…that is the fear," he tells The Globe and Mail. "But I guess I can't really be concerned about what will happen, because it's my truth."
The decision to reveal his sexual orientation comes from MacFarlane's desire to be "authentic to myself." That said, MacFarlane refused to tell the newspaper whether he is currently in a relationship, although he did acknowledge that he would like to be married one day. MacFarlane's alter ego on Brothers & Sisters will take the plunge when Scotty marries his partner Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys) on the show's May 11 episode.
MacFarlane's coming out isn't necessarily a shocker to those who read the gossip columns. He has been rumored to be gay, and last year, Perez Hilton claimed that the actor was dating Prison Break star Wentworth Miller. Photos of the pair that surfaced late last summer fueled the rumor.(source)

Ryan Seacrest Donates His Paycheck to Idol Gives Back!!
Ryan Seacrest was in a charitable mood Sunday night: In addition to hosting FOX’s Idol Gives Back special, the host also handed over his paycheck for the evening. A source close to Seacrest tells PEOPLE that he wanted to show fans that he was serious about the cause.
“When he and Simon went to Africa last year and saw the children, it was really life-altering for him,” says the source. “He just knew he had to do his part and be willing to put his money where his mouth is.”
Idol Gives Back, which also features appearances from Brad Pitt and Miley Cyrus, airs Wednesday on FOX.Sex and the City Stars Reunite on the Red Carpet!!
The stars of Sex and the City: The Movie squealed happily as they reunited on the red carpet Monday night at a Point Foundation benefit in New York City. Getting all four actresses in one place is "very rare," Sarah Jessica Parker, wearing a silvery dress and shoes by Yves St. Laurent, told PEOPLE. "On the set, we eventually got used to seeing each other, so we didn't scream as much."
Meanwhile the reunion was going straight to Kim Cattrall's head. "It's like champagne," she said of seeing all her fellow costars. "It's intoxicating. My heart flutters a little bit."
So what brought them all out? Parker, Cattrall and Kristen Davis were there to cheer on Cynthia Nixon, who was being honored with a Point Courage Award. (The organization offers scholarships to gay, lesbian and transgender youths.)
"Its nice [when] ... someone thinks that the way you're living is nice enough that you should receive an award for it," Nixon, who attended the event with her partner Christine Marinoni, told PEOPLE. (As for her slim physique, Nixon said she dropped pounds for the movie, thanks in part to Gyrotronics.)
"The way she lives her life is good work," added Parker, who was also on hand to present the Point Inspiration Award to Time Warner. "She leads by example." (source)
Carrie Underwood Reveals Text-Message Split from Chace!!
When Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford split up, the couple called it quits digital style, says the country star. "It was completely mutual," Underwood told Extra at the taping of Idol Gives Back. "We broke up over text so ... it's like 'peace out.' "
According to Underwood, the breakup wasn't a tearful confrontation, but a realization that the romance just wasn't meant to be between her and the Gossip Girl hunk. "It just didn't work," she said. "We both knew it didn't work and [had] no hard feelings at all whatsoever."
Although the couple hasn't spoken recently, Underwood has nothing negative to say about her ex. "I don't dislike him, so it's no big deal."
The split was a bit harder on Crawford, however. "He was upset about the breakup," his sister, Candice, told PEOPLE last week. "It's always hard when you lose a relationship."
Underwood reveals that her high profile relationship was made harder by fame. "It's difficult while you're dating because people always make a lot bigger deal of things than they actually are," she tells Extra. "Then when you break up with somebody and then like two months later it comes out and it's like you're rehashing old stuff. I don't know what that's all out now."

Brody Jenner Celebrates New Reality Show!!
Is Hollywood ready for The Brody Show — or maybe a season of Just Jenner? The Hills‘ resident hottie, Brody Jenner, 23, was overheard telling clubgoers that he was celebrating his new reality show, a testosterone-charged spin-off of the popular MTV reality show, while partying at L.A.’s Goa recently.
“Brody is in talks with MTV but the details of the project have not been confirmed,” his rep tells PEOPLE. Also set to star in the expected spinoff is Jenner’s BFF Frankie Delgado.
No stranger to reality TV, Jenner became a Hills regular last season as Spencer Pratt’s pal and on-again-off-again love interest to Lauren Conrad. He also was on Princes of Malibu and is a frequent guest on E!’s Keeping up with the Kardashians — his dad, Bruce Jenner, is married to Kim Kardashian’s mom.(source)

Lauren Conrad: In ‘Talks’ for a Movie Version of The Hills!!
You’ve seen the show, checked out the clothing lines and heard Heidi’s sappy singles. But would you pay $12 to watch a big-screen version of The Hills? “We have kind of talked about it,” Lauren Conrad tells MTV.
“I think if they were going to do a film of The Hills, they would basically film it like we do the show and they would just edit it into a movie,” the 22-year-old says. “It would be like a really long episode.”
